Exclamation Non-active players/cities (Opinion/Discussion)

I'm sure this must have been mentioned before at some!

Non-active players - I'm talking here of players who join the game, play for a couple of hours or so then never logon again. Their capital city therefore being left in situ on the game board.
The game is littered with capitals with around a couple of hundred honor or even less - they are totally spoiling the game for all the regular players:
They cannot be conquered.
Their presence slows down and hinders the expansion of regular players kingdoms.
They hinder the availability and collection of resources.

Why are these abandoned low level (low honor) cities permitted to remain on the game board. Would it not be better if; after a set number of days of inactivity such "abandoned" cities reverted to being Rebel cities. This surely would enhance the game play for the regular and loyal players.

IMO at present non-active players - People who join the game, create a city and then never play the game again are totally spoiling this game for the regular players of the game.

Your opinions would be appreciated guys/gals. Maybe with enough support we can persuade the "management" to introduce a system where the number of non-active cities littering the game is reduced.

There IS a system in place to clear out inactive, dead newbie cities after 2 weeks of inactivity.

However, at this time, from what I understand, it has been disabled and must be done manually by the programmer. And said programmer has had his/her hands full lately.

But yes, I agree with you, the inactive, dead new player cities need to be cleared out sooner. Finding res and BP is becoming harder and harder. Unreasonably harder.

The number of non-active player cities in the game (Beta 1) has increased considerably over the past couple of days and is now totally spoiling the game for the regular players. Rebel cities with resources are greatly reduced and the quantity of resources in those rebel cities is greatly reduced due to the high demand for resources from the regular players who are forced to go further afield to find resources.
Come on management - get rid of the non-active players who are spoiling this game for the regular players.

Or, if possible, expand the map to accommodate the higher volume of dead cities-vs-active players.

As it stands I think the following idea would be most helpful if it is doable.

1. There should be a "holiday button". We know people go on holiday. Usually for about two weeks at a time. There should be a system where if a person does not log into their account for over two weeks without activating the holiday button their cities revert to rebel status.

2. Persons who don't use the holiday button have to log in at least once every two weeks or their cities will revert to rebel status.

3. Even if a player's cities revert to rebel status they can rejoin the beta until such time as the beta is full.

An other option would be the ability to conquer capitol cities.

Good idea regarding a "Holiday Button" to allow players to be away from the game for a lengthy period due to holiday etc.
And two weeks sounds about the right time period before an "abandoned city" should revert back to a rebel city.
Beta 1 has been running since 1 April (about 6 weeks) and it has already become tedious and not so much fun to play, due to all the "abandoned cities" littering the game map.

Any criteria/system would be better than the present situation of non-active cities littering the game map.
